~Meet Our Pastor

Jamie Cheramie has been the pastor at Layton Hills Baptist Church
since 2006. Born and raised in South Louisiana, he came to have
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in 1984. At the tender age of
16 God saw fit to call him into the Gospel ministry. After graduating
from high school, He obeyed God’s call in his life by attending
Criswell College in Dallas Texas. It was at Criswell where he met and
married Tasha Burbridge from Arkansas in 1991.

After graduating from
college (1994) they both pursued and received a Master’s degree in
Biblical Counseling from Denver Seminary in Colorado (1997). He is
presently pursuing a Doctorate of Church Health from Golden Gate
Seminary in Spiritual Leadership. He's pastored churches in Louisiana,
Texas, Georgia and now Utah. God has saved him, called him and gifted
him to do God's work, God's way, and for God's glory.

They have been blessed with
three wonderful children Tyler (13), Shannon (11), and Jessica (8) and they
look forward to what God is going to do through them in ministry in Utah.
